Some gardens begin with a plan. Natorp’s began with a simple idea: grow better plants.

In 1916, William A. Natorp came to Cincinnati from Germany and began working as a landscape designer. When he couldn’t find plants that met his standards, he decided to grow them himself. That decision became Natorp’s Nursery.

Today, more than a century later, we grow more than one million plants across 333 acres in Cincinnati—including trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and edible plants.
