Now that the spring
planting season is here, and you’ll be out at your local garden stores
looking for plants to be added to your landscape or container planting, I
want to show you a series of plants that will flower May thru November, with
very little care.
The series is called
“Knock Out Roses”, and they truly have revolutionized the world of roses!
Drought tolerant, very hardy, disease free, self cleaning, and blooms like
you can’t imagine all season long.
Knock Out is the
original in the series with its raspberry red flowers. You’ll also find it
in a double…Double Knock Out!
Blushing Knock Out was
the next in the series, with its light pink flowers that fade to a shell
pink.
Then came Pink Knock Out
with its deeper colored pink flowers, as yes, Double Pink Knock Outs are now
available!
This year, one of the
2007 AARS selections just happens to be the newest in the Knock Out series,
and its called Rainbow Knock Out, with its coral blooms painted with a
yellow center.
And yes, for you rose
collectors, coming up in 2008, the Sunny Knock Out rose will be
available…and yes, that will be a cheerful yellow flower! Knock Out
roses…give them a try in your landscape or containers…they really are a
