Week 1
(3/2/06)
March is here, we are
here, you are here – let gardening 2006 begin! Hello, and here we are, back
again and ready to get down and dirty in the garden. Now, if you visit our
web site, you’ll find a whole new look, and as we go through the
construction phase, you’ll keep finding all kinds of new and exciting things
happening there! Included in the “new for 2006 changes”, will be a new
version of this newsletter, which as you can see, we haven’t instituted
yet. But, it’s coming! So hold on to your hats.

2006 Cincinnati Home &
Garden Show - Spring is only a few weeks away, and if you’ve had just about
enough of these cold dark dreary days, as well as the warmer than usual dark
and dreary days, we’ve got the perfect solution. Come visit our garden at
the newly expanded 2006 Fifth Third Bank Cincinnati Home & Garden Show! The
theme this year is “Opening Day of Spring”. And with a theme like that,
there’s no telling what types of gardens you’re going to see. But we can
tell you this; you certainly won’t miss our garden!
“Take a look through
spring’s window”
Take a look through
spring’s window and you’ll see what spring showers have brought to this
contemporary backyard garden. Surrounding the covered circular deck, the
grass has greened, the Dawn Redwoods are coming to life, the planters are
bursting with brilliant colors galore, and the sound of spring’s rainfall is
clear. But hey, what’s spring’s “opening day” without a little bit of ‘red’
everywhere? (Gardens 22-23)
Once again, we have teamed
with the great folks at 55KRC, so you can expect all kinds of things
happening at our garden. And, if you look across the aisle, you’ll also
find the Natorp’s Garden Store booth, with a little bit of 55KRC, as well as
some of the coolest gardening gizmos, gadgets, and who knows what to help
make your gardening more successful and a lot of fun. The show runs March 4
through the 12th, so make plans to come see our wonderful
garden. And remember, “red” is the word!
By the way, 55KRC The Talk
Station will be broadcasting from the garden. Come see Natorp’s own yardboy
Ron Wilson, along with home improvement expert Gary Sullivan, as they
broadcast their special “Gardening and Home Improvement Show” live from the
garden each Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00pm., on 55KRC The Talk Station. Stop
by and say hello!
[Man who run in front of
car get tired. Man who run behind car get exhausted.]
Okay, that’s it for this
week. Just wanted to get rid of the winter rust and touch base with
everyone. We’ll be back next week with our full slatted – full of great
gardening information weekly emailed gardening newsletter. And, as time
goes along, we’ll be dragging Rita Heikenfeld out of the kitchen, Mrs. N
back out into the container garden, and try to push Buggy Joe Boggs into an
early pupation. Now, do yourself a favor. Go out and have the absolute
best weekend of your life. See ya. RW, the Yardboy.
[Catch Natorp’s own yardboy
Ron Wilson every Saturday “In the Garden” from 6-9am on 55KRC The Talk
Station (home of Tony Bender, the “Big Dog”, and Joe Strecker, “Joe Pro”),
Thursday and Saturday mornings on Local 12 WKRC news, “Homeworx” – Sundays
on Local 12, and catch his gardening column in your local Community Press
paper.]
Now’s the time to make one
of the best investments of your life – a properly planned and planted
landscape by Natorp’s Landscape. Call us today at 513-398-4769 for an
