Homemade Boursin Cheese

This recipe will be featured in an article in Country Gardens magazine, due out in May 2008.

 
 

Mix everything together well and go to taste on the herbs:

-8 oz cream cheese, regular or light, softened

-1 stick butter or margarine, softened

-3/4 to 1 teaspoon minced garlic or more to taste, or minced garlic chives to taste

-1/2 teaspoon each dry herbs, or more to taste: oregano, thyme, marjoram, basil, dill

-Palmful of minced watercress or 1/2 teaspoon black pepper or dash cayenne pepper
 

Serve with endive leaves, crackers, bagels, or crostini.
