Before turning in your Landscape Design
Kit, please make sure you have taken care of the following items:
___ Please read through the copy so
you understand exactly what will be done for you
after you turn in this kit.
___ When filling out the
questionnaire, it is important for the designer to hear from you!
Take your time and fill in all appropriate
answers. Remember, these are your
thoughts and ideas for the designer to get to know you
and understand what you
would like to achieve.
-Make sure you list the plants
or objects that you want to stay in your yard.
-Try to convey how it is that you want your
garden to ‘feel’.
-Make sure you list the plants that you
like, and even more importantly, the plants you
do not like. Colors included. Our
designers will try to use the types of plants that
YOU enjoy having, and stay away from the
ones you really do not like.
___ Don’t forget the pictures. “A
picture is worth a thousand words”, and that certainly
applies to our landscape kit. The
more the merrier for our designers.
___ Don’t be intimidated drawing the
overhead sketch showing the dimensions of the area
to be landscaped. If using the grid
system makes you uneasy or you don’t
understand how to use it, simply draw the area as
you would see it from above, and
then mark each line with the appropriate length. These
dimensions are so important
for our designers to draw your design to scale, as well as
making sure they use the
correct number of plants, and choosing the correct size of plants.
So please take your
time when putting together your landscape design packet. The more you
can tell us, the better job we can do developing a design just for you
and your landscape. Thank you! |
